busting his balls lol well i jsut dont get why anyone would post up numbers in 3rd gear and no correction numbers for dynos. I can make anycar do 1000 hp on a dyno especaily if you do it in 1 2 3 and then you play with correction on dyno.

I just want people here to get the correct info because i see to much bs on the net. I just wouldnt put up this post at all just all wrong way of doing it.

or put in 1st post hey guys it was at 7 psi boost and in 3RD GEAR which changes the entire thing a lot.

im done with this topic. Stilll wont answer my question on correction numbers on dyno actaully put a pic up of it. When he gets his new cluth and whatever he needs in i have mid 12 second trucks ready to race him and if he makes as much power and he thinks he makes then shouldnt be that hard to beat them.

sidenote id like to thank the guys here that dynoed correctly and put killer numbers up thats the way you do it.

    Stay safe out there guys.

oh yah btw- truck burns clutch on the dyno and yet on the street at 80 mph gets all sideways hummmmmmmm

Naw, i hear you on stating that it was a third gear pull in the first post, but he did say that it was a third gear pull and that he was going to re-dyno the truck once he got his clutch... If the numbers come up waaayy off then fine, but until then, great job rex :top:

very true, if his clutch was slipping, it woulda slipped on the dyno and you could see the results. I reviewed his pulls and dont see any kinda slippage. I guess we will have to wait on the clutch install and a redyno before we know the numbers are good:top:

So, where did he say he got sideways at 80mph?

Also, I emphasized the almost, which meant he didn't actually even spin out at 80mph. Being that he is experiencing an entire new power curve, it feels completely different to him, thus why it felt like it almost spun out.

I understand where you coming from, but anybody who has read through this whole thread knows that it was a 3rd gear pull.

And maybe he didn't know:dontknow:...I didn't know that the truck had to be dyno'd in 4th gear until I started hanging out with the VAB Crew last year. Most people don't go to dynos on a regular basis
x2...I'm all for having the correct info, but at the moment we don't. So their is no need for everyone to get their panties in a bunch. Regardless of how accurate his #'s actually are, they're still going to be high none the less.

I'm not taking sides, but since rex can't really do much until his clutch gets installed next week. I don't see the point in beating on the guy....especially since nobody can seem to figure out the correction #'s.
    Exactly!
    Once again..maybe he doesn't know:top:
I can't speak for him, but my X could break loose at 60+mph with a shitty clutch...just something to think about

your joking right? DJM was just pointing out that the pull is flawed (gear and correction factor)

everyone wants to see the corrected numbers but it seems DJM is being a little overly-aggressive on the subject

hits 116mph, and the rev limiter? sounds like 4th to me, and more then 4700 unless he can bring the limiter down with the aem ecu. also sounds like he shifts 3 times in the first pull

No matter how you slice it, these are awesome numbers for an X-Runner. Leave it at that. If I made a post saying I ran 9 seconds in the 1320 with my stock 1GR long block someone would post that they can be quicker and faster. Some people are just hard to please/impress.

    hahaha well played!

I agree. I watched it a few times. The first pull he is in 4th gear (shifts 3 times) as Chris states.. the second run, i couldnt tell if he shifted into fourth or took his foot off the gas for a second in third gear then romped on it.

if youll really care that much, the phone number to the shop is on the damn graph, call them and ask about the CF's and what not.

I just reccommend have one of the Moderators close this thread until further notice. All it is going to continue to do is become a drama filled pissin contest (no offense to anyone seriously - but we all know this is just going to continue to go back and forth so on and so forth). When Rex gets his new items installed and a new dyno pull after, then he can post up the results with the information people are questioning. If the numbers are lower than before because of the wrong CF or what not, then so be it. Its not Rex's fault that he paid for a dyno pull and the operator used the wrong formula. He received a sheet with data which he posted. Clearly its the operators fault then... blame the shop, not the consumer. If the numbers do end up being lower, Im sure Rex will post up the information that he is receiving. He is a stand up guy and no need to continue to bust this guy's chops any further at this point. He worked hard on purchasing and building this set up himself which is more to say then most of us who buy mass marketed kits/modifications (including myself). Let the drama continue on the "other" sites and keep it a non-flaming forum here as apart of what XRU started to begin with.

That my .02 at this point.

    Coopstain for Prez.

Rex is NOT the person to blame in this at all. If his numbers are correct, or if they are not, it is not his fault, he can only go by what he was given. So far, he has answered everything that he has knowledge of, and that is all he can answer.

What train did you get off? I dont recall anyone personally attacking Rex. All the posts have been about the numbers them self. NOONE has attacked Rex. Personally if I had been the one getting the dyno, I would have known in my head it should be somewhere around 400hp. When it came up 500hp I would have asked questions, but thats just me. NOONE here is haten... But some of us work very hard to ensure we provide accurate info. WHen a thread such as this is started, it questions everyone elses results.
Also theres a few that are on the fence about turboing. After reading the results its the expection to get these results form being trubo'd. Think about a newer member or someone who doesnt really understand, spend 10 grand on a custom turbo set up and get results of 350-400. talk about disappointment!!! So I only question the result time and time again cause I know in my heart they arent right and I dont want someone to have this crazy idea your going to see 500 hp form a silly turbo and 7psi.
Take it for what its worth. I truely am not hateing and Im very proud of rex for what he did. but come on who really thinks these numbers are accurate?

and yea mods close this thread- that'll take care of the issue:top:. NOT..we dont need this thread closed.
