Those of you with train horns or police sirens, where did you mount your horn? I have a siren to install but haven't found a suitable location. The bell housing is pretty heavy so I'm considering welding it to the frame.

Any insight would be appreciated.

My train horns are mounted below my drivers side headlight... lots of hollow room there.

That's what I figured. Like I said, this siren horn is pretty heavy, probably around 8 lbs. When I installed my grill Saturday, I was looking around to see where I could put it.

The aluminum brace (looks like it's for the crumple zone of the bumper) seemed like a good spot, but clearance may be an issue (4 1/2" H x 10 3/8" W x 4 1/4" D ).

I will be getting a train horn later on as well.
