The only thing that isn't in there is the North Bridge water block. I'm having one custom made, and I will install it as soon as it arrives, and take more pics! :D

Nice rig, man. I don't know if I ever posted my PC on here. It's nothing special by todays standards:

Intel Q6700 Quad Over-clocked to 3.25GHz

MSI P7N SLI Platinum Motherboard

8GB OCZ SLI DDR2 RAM

PC Power and Cooling S75CF 750W Power Supply

Twin XFX 8800GT's in SLI (over-clocked...but I can't recall the frequencies off the top of my head)

CoolerMaster CPU cooler (don't remember which one...but it's pretty damn beefy)

Not the newest machine, nor the best. But when I built it in 2007...she was beast.

I've been entertaining the idea of building a new rig, esp with ATI's new 6870 mid-range GPU being a great bang-for-the-buck option right now.

But, every time I put the parts in my "cart" on New Egg...I just think about the parts I want for my truck...and I don't go through with the purchase. I guess as long as my machines runs, and is able to play games at a decent level, I'm just going to have to 'settle' for what I have. Which sounds horrible, b/c there are plenty of people out there with lesser machines that wouldn't mind having my rig.

As far as the "Intel VS AMD" thing...if you have the money, I don't know that there is any arguing that the more 'extreme' i7's are seeing the highest numbers.

GPUs....I'd go AMD/ATI, just due to all the issues Nvidia had with their last chipset...and the fact that their 'new' card is just a refresh. Nothing really "new" about it.

Both are probably great, but I'm partial to Intel chips. Out of all the computers I've ever built, I've only built one with an AMD chip, and that was many years ago.

Intel all the way, baby!

AMD's GPU drivers arent exactly iron clad either dude... Crossfire is a nightmare sometimes and their fan control sucks.

We will see how this 580 is, this is everything the 480 should have been.

hahaha, look what you started.

The geek war has begun...

Id have to say this new 580 is great and the supporting utilities/drivers are great!

This thing runs SUPER quiet, even on full blast its not what id consider a loud fan.

I cant wait tell better/larger 120hz monitors come out so I can start exploiting 3D vision :-D

THREE DEE PORN ZO MY GODZ!!
