So the guy with the twin turbo LS XR, purchased the engine and transmission from you, and never paid in full to the agreed price???
He actually had my parts to do my build! Pretty sure he sold off all my parts to work on his truck and to purchase other cars and start his dog breeding company, now everything of his has disappeared off of social media! Bad deal for me, great deal for him!
Yep... still here, but cleaning up after Hurricane Irma, so have not checked in recently. Sorry guys. Miss you, too. The X is running strong, but still have to remove the passenger side skirt to prep it for re-attaching the interim snaps. Still learning the vehicle. Stay cool, guys and let me know when the next "show" is down here in Florida. Thanks, Cal
All of nut jocking from Billy smashy, or whatever the fawk, and his smack talking. All at the vile expense of someone else. Damn. Terrible character. Sorry to hear man.
Ya it sucks, a couple times thought maybe I should just part out and cut my losses, but thought again and well I couldnt, plan on being the only owner of my truck, plus have put way to much into it at this point haha
Just got back into it. Had to sell my xrunner back in 08 and bought a single cab tundra sold that got an is350 sold that to buy a house, got a 84 beater Nissan pickup, broke down bought a 2012 genesis coupe, fucked up the oil pump and starved the motor so it's been sitting on blocks for 2 years, bought a 99 silverado single cab and finally after years of itching to get another x last weekend bought this on eBay
Still here in Stl check in once a week or when I need advice. X runs so strong and since I don't have money for mods atm I try to stay out.... I fear for my bank account....
i noticed i posted here back in sept of 2017 and had just got my wife the new model 2016 tacoma texas ed crew cab in silver. about a year after owning it, we took it in to the stealership to get regular maintenance done and the tech left the rubber seal off the old oil filter stuck on the engine block...needless to say it made an oil trail from the dealer to our house. i took a ton of pics and a vid then called/texted my sales guy. it had under 30k on the warr so they sent a tow truck to pick it up and check it out at the shop. they assured me the engine was fine and it was caught before any damage was done. i told them that i was not satisfied with it and this should never happen at a toyota dealer and asked for a replacement truck...there was no way i would trust the engine to last after loosing all the oil in the motor. soooooooo they agreed and gave us another brand new 2016 texas ed tacoma in the new darker blue color (cant remember code). i was happy the dealer was "stand up" about it and did what was right. wife was super happy since blue is her favorite color lol. the reason i even own a swb xr now is because she thought it was "a cute little blue truck" lol. so we traded in her bmw z4 towards it. this was her dd for several years then she had to have a grabber blue mustang...had that for a year or so and wanted back in a tacoma again haha. guess what? she saw the 2020 trd sport tacoma in cavalry blue and.....we traded her tacoma in for it lol...….i still have her old 05 xr as my dd
I'm back with a 2014. Have to start over with mods. Got the exhaust done and mags for summer. Headers and cold air will be next.
Man it's dead in here. Where are y'all at? Did everyone sell their X? I still love mine. I just can't believe that the next group of owners aren't showing up in here. When I got mine I was so excited about it. I thought somebody has to know about this. I went online and found this group.
The younger demographic shifted to social media. The older have moved on to other vehicles. There's only a few of us OGs left. It's a shame, all the questions that get asked on FB have been answered here. The wealth of knowledge that's been archived here is huge. I do miss the good old days of near instant responses.
I find myself spending a lot of time on the Tacoma World website. It's pretty active, unfortunately most of the people own 4X4s over there. X-Runners are practically unknown on that website. Saw one post where someone asked why anyone would "lower" their Tacoma...lol But they do have a lot of good information on general topics too. I try to hit XRU once/day to scan for new posts.
