I figured its about time that I start a thread for my truck after lurking in the shadows on the forum for the past many years. I purchased the Turbo kit that Stoner X was selling and have been collecting parts for the install over the past couple months. I'm usually really busy between work and my motorcycle racing addiction but I'll try to post regularly with the progress of the build. For now is what the truck currently looks like....

Yeah I've been spoiled by working on a lift for so many years. I avoid doing anything on the ground if at all possible. I spend too much time hunched over in the garage working on the bikes that I would rather not do it on the truck.

    Current mods on the truck

URD Maf Caf, DTLT, Intake Manifold Spacer, Gen 1 TRD intake, 3in Cat back, StopTech BBK, URD SS, BHLM, Stubby antenna, a bunch of stereo stuff.

Mods to be installed before or around the same time as the Turbo kit (most of which I already have or is in the mail on the way)

URD stage 3 clutch & upgraded throwout bearing
    UCON, w/tstat, cam gears, etc
    61lb injectors
URD fuel pump kit with Walboro 255
70mm throttle body w/URD adaptor (still trying to find a decent deal on the damn TB)
    Innovative Wide band
    Boost/vacuum gauge
    New Denso sprark plugs
Vibrant 3in bottle style resonator after the downpipe, to a QTP electronic Cutout, and also adding a Vibrant ultra Quiet resonator behind the cutout.
    GReddy Oil filter block adaptor
    Manual boost controller

and a probably a few other things that I'm forgetting. I'll be installing most of the items one by one to prep for the turbo kit install over the next few weeks. Hopefully this week I can find time to install the fuel pump kit and maybe the UCON. I'll try to keep you guys updated with the progress.

I'm assuming that the stock manifold can't handle the pressure?

There's a flap valve that changes the length of the intake runner within the stock intake manifold. There are screws that hold that flap to the rod on which it rotates. A few people have sent those screws through the engine under boost. It's a rare occurrence and nobody have been able to prove that the valve is seeing additional strain under boost. That being said, it's happened a couple times that I know of and rennurx is one of the unlucky ones. :top:

If you want i think my buddy still has all the parts for the intake I was gonna make, I can finish it for ya. It would be a one and only so any testing you would have to do, But it uses velocity stacks and short runners, so more low end tq and let the turbo handle the top end!
I wanted to finish it but never had a buyer and didn't wanna spend more money in it for no reason. So if u have any interest let me know.

I may be interested just really depends on cost at this point. With the holidays coming up, money already spent on truck mods, and rebuilding two R6 engines for next race season I feel like I've been hemorrhaging $$$$

Stayed late at work this evening and installed the URD fuel pump kit. Took me about two hours. Should've been done with it faster but too many people where bullshitting around wondering what I was doing haha.

Its probably going to be a little while. I wanted to get the clutch in there first but I'm still waiting on it to come in the mail. Was debating on going in to work today and installing the thermostat and cam gears but I'm currently lacking motivation. Can anyone chime in on running the cam gears without having the UCON installed. I don't really see it as being an issue but maybe I'm wrong.

Don't add the cam gears since you'll be turbo. If I remember correctly, it will change the overlap between intake and exhaust. Which will allow boost air back into the intake.
