door trim / protector...anyone else have this on their xr?

i met this other xr owner a while back and told him about xru. he hasnt found it or joined yet. when we were talking, i meant to ask him about it, but was side tracked. anyways, he had this trim or door protector on his xr and it looked stock, but i dont think ive ever seen it on another.

anyone here have them pn their xr, maybe certain year models had them? it could be an oem upgrade it guess. maybe he or a previous owner added them?
