Transmission Fluid:
1.9Qts. (1.8L)
Oil type: Gear oil API GL-4 or GL5
Recommended oil viscosity: SAE 75W-90

Redline specifically states the following about their GL-5 Gear Oil:

"This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles in passenger vehicles, since the extreme slipperiness may cause synchronizer mesh issues that lead to shifting problems"
http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=133&pcid=4

To be safe, stick to GL-4 oil for your transmission.

What Redline fluid should we use in the trans?
What about diff with LSD?

Per the Redline application guide:
http://www.redlineoil.com/application.aspx

Transmission:
MT-90 75W90 GL-4
http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=46&pcid=7

Differential:
75W90 GL-5 Gear Oil
http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?product=57904

My "clutch type" LSD functioned perfectly without having to add any additional "friction modifiers" when I switched to Redline GL-5 gear oil.

I changed the tranny oil took almost 2.5 qt. or so till it ran out the side. Do you fill the diff till it runs out? I put 4qt in already of 75/90 redline. I dont get it. Is it 3.5 and thats it cause I have read fill it till it runs out. Do I put in the 5th whatever it takes till it runs out cause Im confused.
Thanks
