I know what a TO bearing is but what is the sleeve for?

With out this kit, the TO bearing would ride on an aluminum sleeve that covers most the input shaft. After time the bearing wears a groove into this aluminum sleeve and causes alignment issues and TO noise. The sleeve slides over this damaged aluminum sleeve and being that it's made out of SS steel the bearing won't wear into it causing the above problems

I haven't installed mine yet Matt but I may have the chance to do it real soon. Mine doesn't squeak at all, it instead sounds like having a worn wrist pin on one of the cylinders:thumpdown:
