? on mass air flow cal

i am having trubble with pulling rpm data on my laptop. i am getting the tps voltage but no rpm. all the wires are hooked up as stated in enclosed instructions.

i am also using a usb to sierial adapter. just wondering if that could cause it and if so where can i get a serial port for a lap top

The IGF/TACH wire is not properly connected. Focus there.
