    Not really.
The OEM dia. tire size is 26.8" tall. I went up to 28.6" tall tire then to a 30" tire with 3.73 gear and it's perfect as far as I'm concerned. I'm turning 2500 RPM's at 65 MPH by GPS. Remember Toyota gears their vehicles for emissions (the slower the motor turns the less emissions it makes!) This is per an Toyota engineer.
When I was trying different gears I found a deal on a 3.58 3rd member so I installed it along with stock tires. I got the best mileage with this setup. My first gear change was 4.10's OMG could pull away from a traffic light without touching the throttle.
