    Hey XRU,

Having some issues with the ride height on my 10 X-Runner. I took measurements before and after the lowering kit. Here's what it was before:

    Driver side front:
    29 1/2"

    Passenger side front:
    30"

I installed a set of XII performance coils and new Bilstein's and the truck now sits at:

    Driver side front:
    28 1/4"

    Passenger side front:
    29 3/8"

I have yet to install the rear suspension and it seems as if it's just leaning hard to the driver side. I never noticed this prior to the lowering kit, but now it's just more noticeable. Am I wrong that these springs were supposed to level the truck out anyway? Seems like my truck lowered 1.125" on the passenger side front and 1.5" on the driver side front.

Let me know what you suggest.

    Thanks,

I’m jelly. Where you find springs? If you decide to sell them lemme know.

There’s a thing called the “taco lean”. Not sure if it’s the driver or passenger side though.

Yeah, i'm very aware of the taco lean but I was aware that the lowering springs were supposed to fix it, regardless?

    Thanks,

IIRC, there were different gen Sittin Sic and Xii springs. I could be wrong but I believe the Xii Gen2 solved the lean. I think there was a “left” and “right” spring.

You could always get the spacer that off-roaders get.

Well that sucks. I bought these coils used with the knowledge that they fix the sag, plus I powder coated them to refinish them new. I had a spacer on the stock setup and removed it thinking this would level the truck out.

It is what it is, I guess.

Are you sure your measurements are correct

    Driver
    29 1/2" to 28 1/4" = 1 1/4" drop

    Passenger
    30" to 29 3/8" = 5/8" drop

I only got about 1 1/4" drop out of my Xii coils, there was no left or right. I also got one of the last sets made.

I used some spindle spacers to even out the drop to 1 3/4". I did have 1/8 difference between the two sides the passenger side being higher.

I can post pictures of the tape measure from the ground, if need be? The lean is largely noticeable

I know its a lot of work but maybe if you swap sides it will be a little more even

My truck leans with the newest generation springs. I don’t know who told you that you would eliminate the taconlean with drop coils but whoever told you that lied to you.

i'm working on the rear at the moment, putting the blocks in with the caltracs bars. then i'm going to R&D the front. Other than a sticker, or a tag, is there any way to distinguish the driver side vs the passenger side visually?

    Thanks,
