Last week my truck when I went to start up my truck coming out of grocery store, it didn't crank over. So I went thru the diagnostics process that it was the battery thinking it was time to replace it. It still didn't crank over. Starter was good since it was trying. Had a friend come over and ran his OB2 and got an error message p1604. I feared it was the fuel pump had failed. Eventually I took it to the shop who installed my S/C.

Fuel regulator resistor has gone out. Has anyone had this happened to them?

I'm sure others have, but this is the first I've heard.

I have heard of that happening a couple of times. Kind of a rare failure, but the interesting thing to know is it will not set a code when it fails.

Well it turns out it was the fuel pump along with fuel resistor as expected. Luckily, I had anticipated going out I had the Walboro ready for them to install. All this drama over a fuel pump.
