Wow......... Hey david, wanna race :dontknow:
Thanks for clearing that up.
wow thats an awful lot of posting for a belt breaking.....Post whores...:eviltongue:
This thread has inspired me to get my extra belt out of the garage and keep it in the truck.....does that count as a mod?
That sucks Dave, hope everything works out....hmmm....TRD s/c sounds like a better option for me after today :eviltongue: lol
I guess if you dont have room under the seat for a belt and ratchet??:bird:
Gadget is gonna have to start paying you, you're a rolling advertisement .
drewXrunners belt broke...twice, then he got the new URD pulley and it has never done it again.
You do know that TRD systems have thrown a lot more belts than URD, right?
Well, there might be a few more TRD systems out there so I guess that is fair...
the best for me has been the trd unit with the urd pulley.. (although if I did it again I'd just go urd staight up)
I want a URD unit, I saw Damafo's a few weeks back at a small gathering we had...and my jaw fell to the ground...URD needs to offer financing, then Im down
sux bro hopefully u get it fixed soon...haha ur back to stock
That should be Gadgets sig:laugh:
Yea it sucks....but only till 3pm tomorrow when my new one gets here:eviltongue:
Santa Claus on his SWB sleigh with bronze wheels made sure I'd have one by tomorrow:biggrin:
Throwing an ocasional belt is just part of running any supercharger. If you go supercharged TRD or URD just carry an extra belt.
see what other vendor would do that?
Gman is looking like santa more and more.. all he needs now is a beard..
you girls should meet us at dinwiddie!!
well I'll put the new one on tomorrow, but before XFE...I'll def get another one for safe keeping
I'll kinda be busy putting the belt on after work tomorrow...incase you didnt know what this thread was about:biggrin:
that takes 5 seconds.. you want me to come do it for you baby? Maybe gman will install it for you.. if you nice he might show you how to change your own oil too... :argh:
Sorry buy you are wrong, the TRD can be driven with no belt. I have done it, and it runs just fine, there is a bypass butterfly inside the trd blower that does not close until there is boost. when it closes the air is diverted into the rotor area. no boost signal, air bypasses the rotors.
the goodyear belt that im running is #4050705
Yup! The TRD setup runs just fine with out the belt. Thats what I meant when i said "if the belt breaks you arent Fd".
The nature of supercharged vehicles is to go through belts...
