So you're going for the XII style mount?
No it will not be like the XII style mount. It will be solid aluminum cnc machined and slotted to accommodate the rod end with a through bolt to hold the top end of the shock.
I’d be interested depending on pricepoint. What size through bolt will you be using? 1/2” or 5/8”?
Not the best photo but hopefully you get the idea. This mount is for 6 lug suspension. From the photo the attachment / mounting bolts thread in from the top.
I suggest you look at coilovers for 6 lug trucks. "I" understand the only difference is the spacing of the attachment bolts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He's making a top hat that will accept the rod end....
May want to look things over again?...
With all do respect, I think you're thinking of stem end like OE?...
It will be very similar to that top hat!
It will be whatever internal diameter the rod end of the for the shop will be
Please make sure you have clearances and the front shocks come with a 1/2 & 5/8" shims for the bolt I believe.
You can also purchase another size shim but I can't remember the size now.
Just finished welding brackets, painted with 316 stainless steel paint for rust protection..
This is nice, I would buy this. I think you should also design a lower brake line mount and sell them as a kit.
Well finally they are at powder coating‼️
The photo is the office of AZ Powder Coating.
So who’s interested in a set? Sorry to say, one set is mine the other two are up for bid.
*Edit* they will be powder coated satin black.
Only One set left. Get the LAST set before they’re gone‼️
Ladies and Gentlemen this builder is better then the first guy I got but he’s a very busy guy!
***Hey Guys & Gals too***
Please if you are kind enough to send the payment through PayPal please send me your address so I can ship them to you‼️ I got a payment from someone but I’m still trying to get an address to ship them. Also these mounts use a 5/8” bolt. I was thinking of going with Stainless as I’m guessing the 5/8” bolt will have enough shear strength?....
How does the lower mounting point on the viking shocks look once they are mounted?(it looks a little thin compared to oe)
The QA1’s mounts are approximately 1 & 1/4” wide. How wide are the OE shocks at the lower mount?
