if your going to go with a centrifugal SC the rotrex outperforms the vortech in every aspect.

do the hiluxes come with electric fans? I noticed that they have 2 puller fans on the truck rather than our clutch fan

1 KW= 1.34 HP

179KW*1.34=239 HP

280KW*1.34=375 HP

375-239=136 HP gain

136 (gained)/239=56%


Numbers add up...

i think the dyno chart is actually for the 3.4, it says it has a +79 gain and that is what the chart shows.:dontknow:

280 Kw is 375 HP.

I see where you are getting that now. That is their projected crank power rating.

So if they are claiming 375 crank and only getting 246 wheel HP, that is some serious drive train loss. Using that same wild ass guess crank rating using their formula the URD kit will give 463 crank HP. Not happening.

Even if the projected crank is 375 hp, 10,000 bucks is real step for an extra 136 CRANK hp. Imagine what you could with all that money

like i said i think the graph is for the 5vz not the 1gr as stated. come on our trucks are 246 at the crank stock.

10,000 austrailian is 8250 USD, but yeah still way to much.

Actually the graph indicated is for our 4.0L 1GR-FE...

our trucks make 236 hp crank...we haven't lost any hp since 2005, its just the way they rate the crank hp has changed since then...
