hertz is the brand i run with. i feel they are great quality.
but ive been told by many speaker experts and they say its not particularly bout the speakers you have but the box you have them in. great speakers in a crapy box make em sound like crap

This is easy....go and listen to a bunch of them.

Seriously, you may hate the sound of some of them. It's your ears you have to please.

I'm running Type X Components up front and Type R Components in the rear. Love them. No complaints. Everything in my truck is Alpine.

I'm powering my Hertz mids using Alpine pdx 4-150 and this puppy is a beast with a small foot print.

Alpine Type R's are awesome, I ran those in my Colorado... 6.5 components in the front with Coaxials in the rear.

Only reason I don't run them in the Tacoma is pricing. I didn't want to put alot into my sound... but still have good sound. So I run JL audio TR series speakers with TR tweeters and in line bass blockers. No complaints so far.

I'm running Alpine Type R's in all 4 corners and I don't have any complaints. I have heard great things about focals but ultimately it is up to your price range and what you like:top:
