Cool. How do you remove the tailgate? Is it pretty self explanatory?

No tools needed, you can do it all by hand.

First off, open the tailgate a little, then undo the cable eyelets from the bed. Each side slides through the round bolt that they hang on. Then lift up on the right side of the tailgate. The part that pivots on the bottom should pop up and free itself from the bed. After that, pull the other end towards you. The left side should slide off its pivot and you are done.

I haven't ever had problems. I loaded up my 07 zx6r and headed up to North Carolina (12 hour drive) from florida.

yeah loaded my 08 ltr 450 in the x and the only prob i had was i droped it on my tail gate and it bent but other than that it was ok
