Don't know if this has already been posted or not but LCEngineering website carries bell housing adapters for the 1GR so it can mate up to Chevy automatics and manual transmissions. I would post the link but i haven't hit 10 posts yet. Would someone go to the website and look under there transmission section for the adapter and post it. I hope the T56 will bolt up to this!

Good find. This might be the end to the tranny issues. Maybe these guys can fab some 2jz engine mounts.

That would make putting in a T56 from a camaro a whole lot easier!

Quick question. Are the TH400 and the T56 the same bolt pattern? I get the feeling they are, but I'm not sure.

the drive shaft isn't that hard to make if you can weld, you would just need to do some work finding the right chevy end to weld to the tacoma shaft. then get it ballanced.

dud your friggin awsome!!! a trans swap would be so sick. a t-56 would make the tranny problems dissappear and really help put some power to the ground

that does sound like it would be real nice! would be weird with it an auto though! my truck goes to shop next week to have the tranny fixed! if it goes out again than i really think id have to do this! would be sick to have the MKII and a tranny swap! could add the line lock and everything, be sweet as hell at the strip!
