Typically how long must one drive around with the ucon to feel its total improvement? Will it learn or is it suppose to be instant? Just installed mine. Very good instructions.

So back to my question. How long? I have noticed a hicup or slight cut out if I try to give it gas too quick like. I thought I would give it a week or so to learn. It was also idling high for a bit aswell but that seems to have gone away. I have alittle over 250 miles on it so far and that is mostly highway.

I don't remember mine taking long but I installed it with the s/c other than that it should maybe take a tank or so of gas but for the most part shouldn't have any issues.

So what exactly does the launch control do? How well does it work? And does it just limit the Rpms?

I need to find someone with a PC so I can activate mine

Not sure how it limits the rpm's but when activated it holds the rpm's right at 3000. I love it, I messed with it a few times and it works great.. I just need better tires I spin a lot, but my tires are completely bald haha..

I most likely put a file on your USB stick that will do that.

Stick it in and slowly bring the RPM up to 3000 and see if it holds at 3000. If so you are all set.

If it holds at 2000 you have the cal that turns on valet mode.

^^ya once it holds at 3K u can floor it and then either dump the clutch or let it out quicker then normal. I've used it with my X-1 and it seems to work rather well, personally I like to not use launch control

You can have as many custom calibrations as you want and instantly load them by placing it on the USB stick and plugging it into the UCON. The file must be prefixed with TEMP. for it to load and you can have only one TEMP file in the root directory. Once inserted the file will load and become active and it will stay active until you remove it and restart the engine.

Is this still true with the 09-15 UCon?

Curious what valet mode is as well and how i can get a file for this?
