How many units did you have fail? I’m guessing you were using the Rotrex traction fluid? What did the vendor say when you reference “they even made comments to the fact they know of the issue”? What fails or breaks in the six speed trans
Basically, the throwout bearings suck, the synchros suck, and the gearing is absolutely horrendous lol. I would try the accumulator removal if I still had my truck.- justin13703

Replacement synchronizers?
A brand new trans would do the same thing, it’s just a matter of time. Plus by the time you paid for a brand new Toyota trans, you might as well do the t56. The way I interpreted it he was saying 6k for the t56 and gear swap.- justin13703

Nope I don’t. What I do know is that pretty much everyone I’ve seen on this forum have them rebuilt has ended up in the same boat within a few months. Not saying it’s impossible to have a good one, just very unlikely. There’s too many inherent design problems with that transmission.- justin13703
