I always like to let it warm up a little especially when its in single digits . Even in te summer i like to let it run long enough to start reading on the temp gauge

U should be able to get it pretty close by using some of the holes aready in the radiator support and trim to perfect fit almost all of it has to come out so the pipe doesnt hit and rub a hole into it

I spray off the whole engine bay with garden hose and spray quick detailer on a rag and wipe everything down not the fastest way ut the world but seems to work for me

Exactly doing away with would be even better .. The older models dont have it an they run just fine
