Changing from 2.55 back to 2.7 pulley
Already checked tension, and belt size is correct. It did this from day one of my original swap from 2.7 to 2.55. IMO it seems like it just doesn’t have enough wrap for the skinny belt . Changing from 2.55 back to 2.7 pulley
Hi all, I’ve had a 2.55 stealth pulley on my X since I put everything together a few years ago, and have decided to go back to the 2.7. The 2.55 belt slips when it’s jumped on, and I never had that issue when I had a 2.7 pulley on it. Has anyone else experienced that with a 2.55?- Billy182

Engine problem first drive of the year [FIXED]
FYI to anyone with similar issue: This was fixed with a simple change of plugs. I put about 130 miles on the truck today and it didn’t skip a beat, ran flawlessly and 100% up to 10psi boost. So today I had the chance to go over it a bit. Visual inspection appeared ok, nothing loose, and no obvious signs of any wires bitten through by a critter. The analyzer showed a pending cylinder #1 misfire, all else clear. I cleared the code, started it up and took a look at live data...- Billy182

Thanks for the info, I’ll be sure to keep an eye on that. At least now I’ll have a good reason to try out my new scanner. I bought this about a year ago and never had a good enough reason to use it until now- Billy182

Thanks for your reply. I plan to start with a thorough visual inspection, followed by a scan to check history/live data, and then go from there. If nothing happens in the driveway I’ll go for a test drive with the analyzer hooked up and see if it re-occurs (I’m really hoping it does so I can get...- Billy182

First ride since last fall
Took the X out for a drive today, perfect weather, mid 70’s. The truck went very well, brought it up to 10 psi on the highway for a short burst. When I was in the market for an SCCA track car back in ‘95 the Supra was definitely on the radar. I ended up buying a “left over” brand new twin turbo ‘94 RX-7 R2.
