If you havent noticed yet, APR has updated their website. Inlcuding information on the 7th injector, 2.85 and 2.7 pulley, and E85 injectors!

Woot!

They claim 70hp from the 7th....I wonder if they mean when combined with E85?:hmmmm2:

they don't say that it gains 70hp... Just that the single injector can be tuned for an additional 70hp out of the motor before you have to start changing injectors.

That makes sense.

The 7th is really nice. I love mine:top: highly recommended

Those injectors are the same one used in the URD MkII supercharger kit.

I have them in stock with the connector adapters if any of you X-1 folks want to give it a try.

Are you going to try an E85 map on stage 3? That would be :burnout::rock:

Going to.....

Just try to keep up...

The problem is that I am maxing out those injectors with gasoline right now. I will need to add a couple of more injectors to give me the needed fuel flow to run E85. That of course is already in progress.

APR claims 30hp increase running e85 injectors along with proper loaded map. Anybody know the price for e85's?

660cc * 6 = 3960cc
3960cc * 20% = 792cc
3960cc * 30% = 1188cc

How much more fueling does e85 require? APR claims a 20% reduction in fuel economy, which I guess implies a 20% increased fueling requirement. Do you think a 1200cc 7th would cover it?

Would a 7th injector be compatible with the plastic intake plenum?

In normal driving it takes about 20% to get the same chemical energy to equal gasoline. In boost it somewhere around 30-36% more.

I think I know the answer but would like someone with more knowledge to explain.
What happens if you are on a road trip and need to fill up, but cant find e85? Is it possible to run say 93 with these injectors and a different tune?

Yea he said he was burning a little more fuel but that he was buying a gallon for $2.01 Comes out to a wash.

Yes. Balboa has a flash drive key that is for 93 supreme. And he carries 5 gallon race fuel containers and fills them up for trips. But he really does not have to. He can run the 93 supreme with the flashdrive key.

I would rather use it the other way around. Have the E85 map on the flash drive...then when I know Im going to race I would run it on E85 for like 1-2 days before

I dont care about an extra 30hp for driving around town, and then worrying about trying to time it perfectly for fill ups. I have 11 E85 stations in my town, but they are all about 15-30 min away from my house, whereas gas is 1 min away.

Thats just how I see it

Then you would switch back to a gasoline suitable map, DO NOT EVER run gasoline with an E85 map loaded.

You can run these injectors with 93.

To see the savings look at it this way:

Pump 93: 3.00$ a gallon
E85: 2.15 a gallon
Race fuel 105UL: $6-8.00 a gallon

You can see that even burning 30% more still comes out less then 93, AND your getting essentially a 105UL fuel for the price of middle grade gas.... with more power, with more safety.

E85 isn't all about making more power either.. It's a much more forgiving fuel to run. So even if you don't want 30 extra HP... Its a much less volatile fuel and safer to run in high temperature conditions.

I will be running E85 on spray on boost.

I agree. Burn your basic calibration into the X-1 and then have your other cals on the USB like I do for 100 octane and E85 and so on.

Want me to send you a set of the multi-fuel injectors??

I have also upgraded the URD pump/filter kit to be E85 compatible with a new in tank hose.
