I have a dozen or more track days maybe even twenty on mine and no cracks. If they put up with that you should have no issues with street use.I know this thread has been years since this happened and sorry to bring it back alive but I was just thinking of lowering my truck and inch or two and was wondering if anyone has any problems of the new reconstructed djm drop kits since then till now??? +1 I've been running mine since 2012 - the original version, not the ones with the reinforcement - and have had no issues. Whenever can easily get under the truck (oil change, rotate tires) I'll do a quick visual inspection with the light on my phone to look for cracks or bends. I don't drive my truck much though so that may also come into play (2006 with only 78k).
I just tightened mine down good and tight, no particular spec, and added a little blue thread lock. Never had any problems.
