Did you buy the AppRadio 2 yet? If you didn't, I would consider purchasing their newer AVH series, that is compatible with iPhone 5 if you're planning to upgrade, or have it already.

The new AVH series DD's have AppRadio mode built in it as well, and can do pretty much what the AppRadio 2 does, but also has more features on it. Plus the AppRadio is a little faulty when it comes to UI.

Just my .02 though. I had the AVH-P8400bh in my X, until I installed the iPad Mini in my truck. Now my DD just sits and collects dust...haha!

I agree. The appradio and appradio 2 are really glitchy radios. I would keep the alpine you have or get one of the avh or AVIC series pioneer double dins.
