I recently used amsoil 0 30 I notice when I put pressure on the truck alot, I smell the oil. Is this normal? The miles on the truck is 108 thousand. I am thinking about using mobile 1 10 30 synthetic I also check for leaks and did not find anything. Any suggestions?

Here we go again. People not understanding oil viscosity.

What is the difference between

0w30
5w30
10w30
30W

at operating temp??

NOTHING. They are all 30w oils. The first number is the cold number. The lower it is the better the oil flows when cold and the sooner the oil gets to those expensive engine parts on a cold start, you know, when 80% of the engine wear occurs, COLD STARTS.

If you just changed the oil, maybe you spilled some and it's just burning off... :dontknow:

Check the PCV valve if it's working. I've been using Amsoil for the pass 30 years and never had any problem.
