Picture upload question

Anyone know why pictures that are uploaded do not show up in full view? They only show as a link? For example, when I click on "insert image". I drag the JPG file to the box and the photo comes out as a link like the one below.

Might depend on the size of the file. I down sized this one to optimize for Instagram. I forgot what the settings are. I can find it somewhere.
