Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I’m starting to see some wear in my serpentine belt. I’m looking to change it. I called the Toyota dealer to purchase a serpentine belt and it’s about 110.00 USD.
I looked around pep boys and they have one for 35.00 USD.
Do you guys recommend a genuine Toyota part or aftermarket?
Just want to hear everyone’s opinions and their experiences.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I can't help you; the only belt I've had to change was the serpentine with the supercharger so it's a different belt. I'm due to change it again but, for what it's worth, last time that I did it I used a gatorback belt by Goodyear.

$110 for a toyota belt is insane. Just get an aftermarket one. I think i got either a gates or continental belt through rock auto last time. When you are in there and have the belt off, give the idler and tensioner pulleys a spin by hand and see if they are noisey. They are easy to replace if the bearings are bad
