New project!!!
Looking into making brackets for this setup. Tundra caliper with Lexus ISF rotor. Unfortunately I don't have the stock wheels to check for proper clearance. I have to find someone near by. I've seen a few xr around me, just have to talk to them.

Nice thanks for the pics. I didn't think they was different. U can clearly see the difference tho. U said u used the rear rotor front the Isf on the tacoma caliber also right.

You may want to consider after this upgrade finding a master cylinder to push more fluid into those massive calipers. That's a common problem with an upgrade like this. I have some basic info on that if your interested

The Tacoma caliper uses the Lexus ISF rear rotor.

What info do you have? I was wondering if the master cylinder of the Tacoma 4x4/PreRunner is bigger and fit or the Tundra will fit.

Yea I wondered the same thing but they are the same. My dad has a pre runner and it's the same. The master cylinder bore size is 13/16 on both trucks. I also looked into the tundra one. It is larger but not my much. It's 15/16 bore size and the mounting holes don't match the tacomas. Also the pistons on the stock tundra caliper are 55mm in size compared to the tacomas stoptech ST40 calipers have a 45mm hole. It's not a huge change but I'm pretty sure that's what gives it the soft pedal feel. On another note though you may be able to get a power brake booster off a tundra and mount it with a master cylinder off a tundra as well. Just do a full swap on it.

Also forgot to mention Xrunner master cylinder is set up as a disc/drum master cylinder. Tundra master cylinder is a disc/disc master cylinder. So a rear disc conversion would be a good idea to keep the rear brakes from locking up

If you did a full swap would it bolt right up to the firewall? I have been looking into doing a swap and most guys are doing the older gm style master swaps because they are cheap and have a 1" bore.

Done with the bracket but don't know if it will fit the stock wheel. I don't have mine anymore I need to find someone in the area. Will send off to get copies made when funds is available. Hopefully people are interested.

Yea ppl are interested, u make, making them brackets look so simple and easy. U got the right set up. The last set of tundra calibers had the front ground off some to clear the stocks wheels, u may have to do that all so. Ur using the 360mm rotor this time also right.

I am using the 360mm rotor. I don't know about grinding on the caliper for clearance because I don't have the stock wheel. I just positioned the caliper to where the brake pad is close to the edge. If I can get a hold of a stock wheel, ill for sure check for clearance.

I use a tundra caliper and didn't have to grind off anything to clear my stock wheels. It's close but I clear just fine.

Hi there, stock factory 18" wheels there is no grinding on the Tundra caliper, it fits perfectly.

Ok, good deal then. I'm not sure which caliber I'm gonna use yet the tacoma or the tundra. Both seems to work prefect so. Hopefully this summer I can get mine Built and on.

Which master and booster though? I've seen those on the older tacomas but not our generation
