So now that I've finally found a minute I figured I'd start out by saying THANK YOU! Thank you to all of the members that drove hours upon hours to get there. Thank you to the co-pilots and significant others for putting up with our crazy hobby. And a huge thank you again to the vendors for the fantastic raffle prizes. While the planning may take up a bit of time, every bit is worth it when you guys make the trip and enjoy yourself. 3.5 hours my ass. Took me 4.5 hours to go the first 100 miles. The second 100 miles was a bit better. I have never seen traffic like that ever in Maryland.

we "kinda tried" last year, problem is down here were all so lazy, even with h3, windward to pearlridge is far lol

drive times look more than decent to me, even as a hawaii guy, i jus did my longest drive ever from SF-LA and its not bad at all! and that was in a rental sentra in which i got a flat tire on I-5! haha

Like Shane said, yes we do. It typically falls in later September or early October. Location has ranged from as far south as Tennessee and as far north as Pennsylvania. :top:

I have driven from MD to CO, and UT to attend meets. I have flown out to Cali to attend meets.

If your ass is to soft to drive far, catch a plane and ride in with someone. Just do whatever you need to to SHOW UP!!

It was pretty short notice for me from when I got my X last year and wasn't in the budget :/. Hopefully I can make it this year! Seems like a pretty great event.

 

[Gadget]

The cheapest seat on an airline is the first one sold. If the date and place for the event can be nailed down well in advance, it can be cheap for people to get airline tickets to get there pretty cheap, cheaper than driving.

The most expensive seat is the last one sold. I just bought tickets to Salt Lake for Thursday and have not been able to sit down yet.....
