Coupe, I'm really hoping you can give me a hand to install mine. You sound like someone with plenty of experience. I don't want any issues with the seal leaking.

I will help you. I may want to sleeve mine also.

I do not have a crank pulley off the truck. I do have a stock pulley. I measured the o.d. of the shaft at 1.654" [42.012mm] and a depth of 0.625" [15.875mm].

If anyone has a NST pulley off the truck and a set of calipers, see how your measurements compare to this.

I should get my crank pulley tomorrow Coupe. I could swing by your place on Sunday if you're not too far.

Do you have a jack? Maybe use the handle as a cheater bar. It worked when I installed my oil cooler for a very stubborn bolt.

Thanks man and everyone for the tips...i finally got it doing what Tapp had suggested after i heard a couple of other people say it was alright and it worked like a charm...had a bit of trouble getting the old seal off too but i finally got it all done and put some fresh oil and a new filter in and im good to go...i just have to figured out how i am going to clean all of the dirty oil that has coated the bottom half of my engine:thumpdown:..will pressure washing it work? or is there a good spray on something thatll dissolve/get rid of the dirty oil?

I like your idea Coupe. This is definitely a adaptation that you should look into. If you find something that does work, I am all in

Ok so the groove is apparently an issue from what I gather. So if your NST pulley does have a groove is it a bad idea to still run it? Does this happen to all the NST crank pulleys or just a select few?

I gota be honest I've seen a few threads like this and am surprised Mike didn't jump in on it with any info about the groove. :hmmmm2:

He's probably not had a chance to read all of this. I'm sure he'll comment.
