I'm at 55,000 miles on my originals and they still work fine, no warpage or anything either.

It depends on the usage. If you do a lot of city stop and go driving, you will use up your pads faster. If you do mostly freeway mileage, you will rack up a lot of miles without using much of your brakes.

Possibly, depending on your driving style. I do use the transmission to slow down alot in addition to the brakes. Also how you drive, I generally don't run the piss out of my truck lol so that's probably why mine are still doing fine.

well if you down shift like i do it save on pads...but you also got to look at the clutch too...which one is wearing out the most! i have 43000 or so and mine and are still pretty thick...i have turn my rotors but i realy did not need to because of a shimmy i am getting in the steering wheel at certain speeds! but i think its in the shocks and my tires i bought a year or so ago!

If its done right it won't wear out your clutch any more than normal driving. Downshifting a gear or two is letting the tranny slow the truck down, not the clutch. Now if someone downshifted way too far and slipped the clutch the whole time to slow down, then that will definitely wear your clutch out faster. And if you rev match when downshifting, clutch wear from this is pretty much non existant.

60,000 and counting. I just want new brakes, don't need them though. Kinda hard to explain $2000 TRD BBK to the wife like this, guess i have to wait.

I changed the front brakes really early. Tossed them in the trash and put on a set of StopTechs.

I did the rears at 96,000 miles.

Still going on mine at 70,000 miles. Little more than 50% left on front.

I changed my pads at 85,000 miles and there was still a little life left on them. Rotors were fine. Swapped the pads and rolled on. Probably going to have to do the shoes soon.
