How far should I have to press the clutch down?

Hey guys,

I'm new to owning an x-runner. When shifting gears, I'm having to depress the clutch to within an inch or so of the floor to completely disengage the gear. Everything shifts smooth and works fine. I'm just not used to having to push THAT far (I've only driven a couple manual fords).

Is that normal, is the clutch worn, does something need to be adjusted...

Thanks so much!

I've noticed I don't have to press it all the way down but maybe like 75%-80% down. A lot better than the TSX I used to have.

There is a plastic adjustable push-rod underneath the clutch pedal. It can be adjusted closer to the pedal. Just don't have it resting against the backside of the pedal.
