Any rear end shots? Is a 255/8.5 wider then a 245/9.5?

Yes it is wider

Not really.

The 255 is a wider tire then the 245. Even with the stretch the 245 only has so much tread that is usable. Once you start stretching that much , the sidewalls will start stretching (no change in surface area)

In this case of 255 on an 8.5" rim and 245 on a 9.5" rim, you will still have more tread contact on the 255 even on an 8.5" rim. It would be like putting a 255 on an 8.5" rim, and then one on a 10" rim. Surface contact will be the same, as the tire is the same width.

Yeah, he was. He sold them recently and got 19's instead. The 20's didn't have the tapered look. It was flat spoked cause of the size.

The +12 looks right on for the drop...how would +22 look?
Tire to the fender +10mm which would have more lip?

+22 would look good still, but that depends on the width of the rim. If the rims is 10 inches wide, +22 will be sticking out a bit. If it was 9.5, it would be in a little. Again, it all depends on the size of the rim you want.
