has anyone installed theyre DJM drop kit on your own? if so are there any special tools i might need to be able to put them on!!

as far as i know a press is needed for the ball joints in the lower control arms you have to press the old ones out of your stockers an into the new djm arms that come with the kit im sure somebody else knows more than me on this an has experianced it first hand.

Yeap... that and something to cut the rear frame with for the mini-notch :top:

You can buy a press at northern tools for 100 bucks and need a cut off wheel to cut the frame...im getting ready to put mine on shortly

Thats where my neighbor got his, good price.

You'll need a deepwell socket large enough to fit over the bolt and seats properly on the base (when pressing out the bjs). Be careful or you might have to buy new arms if you f up the bjs.

I just installed mine last weekend. I did not use a press just a vice , socket and a few wacks of a hammer and the ball joints popped right out. All the cutting of the rear can be done easily with a grinder.

Dont try to rent a ball joint puller either cause it aint gonna work!

Reminds me of the time I saw someone mount a tire with a crowbar and a hammer. :stupid:

For those of you guys that have a DJM drop already. Did you guys have to change shocks or anything?

Not really to risky, if you use a deep socket theres really nothing to damage, it shields the ball joint itself.
