I also currently have Hankook V12 Evo on the truck. I keep coming back to this tire for my daily driving. Good balanced and value; dry, wet, longevity, noise, and at the limit forgiveness for a Max Performance Summer tire. It definitely would not be my first (or second or tenth :laugh
choice for any sort of competitive or serious driving, but for daily fun it is great. I would almost call it a proper performance all season rubber. I got the stock size on close out for $400 :blurock: However, they did just introduce a newer version and compound, so all of those opinions might be worthless  Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position is another Max Performance tire I had good experiences with; better grip than V12 Evo, but lower longevity.
If you are looking for an all out grip a the cost of bad weather handling, longevity, noise and price...most popular options are Ventus RS-3, Direzza ZII Star Spec, Potenza RE-11A, Ecsta XS, etc. From personal experience, I haven't bothered with anything between Extreme/Mar Performance and Winter/Snow rubber in a very long time. Too many compromises.
Size wise, I would be skeptical about going much wide than stock 255...not sure you can really exploit the added contact patch on the street especially since our cars aren't power monsters. But that's just speculation at this point for me...
