Got some crappy news from the dealer, throttle body has failed with only 62000 miles on the X and no warranty. :thumbdown: It's a good thing I was sitting down when they told me the cost to replace it. What a pile on crock. I guess it's time for a swap.

Idea.....

There have been a few people out there that have updated their throttle valves using larger ones using our adapter plates. They should have their old stock ones laying around and you may talk someone out of one.

If not let me know and I will see what I can dig up for you.

Thank you, I'll check it out. I'm fed-up with this 4L engine. Still haven't figure out why it's taking oil now this. I'll start looking into an engine swap.

You want a motor that burns oil and a bad throttle body with only 100000 km on it ! I think I got a LEMON but can't make lemonade with it. What are you looking at to replace the X?

Burning oil is better than my $8k motor with knock.... So yes yes I do...

Looking at many different vehicles depends on who you ask... Me or the wife. I would like an off lease g37 but we will see

I had quote for an engine swap for around $10,000 to 12,000 for a LS3 with tranny. 17,000 for a 2014 X-Runner with my X as an exchange. Not on my life, I'll do the swap first.

Swap a TB and add on some 0w-40 or 5w-50. Probably about $220, then keep on trucking.

I did the upgraded TB and she loves it. Feels so much smoother and really screams at WOT. Swear I'm getting 23mpg city as well.

What was ur throttle body doing when ever it craped out. Did it show any sign of what's was happening before it broke .

When I came to a stop, the engine idle drop to below 500 and the engine light came on signalling a code . The engine would not throttle up, had to crawl up the road to a safe location. Shut the engine off, restarted it 5 min later with the engine light on. Made it home but at every stop the idle would drop to almost stall. Got home and check for code and got a P2103. Park the X and a few days later started it and no code. Took it out and code came back with the no respond throttle. Took it to dealer:thumbdown: and told the same as I knew with the code and said I needed a new TB with only 60000 miles on the X. No warranty and no help from dealer.
