Well as the title says I've found a motor havent seen it in person but am goin to look at it asap but it's from a 2006 4runner. Is that the same as ours. I have no computer right now and don't feel like searching with my phone to find out. I hope it's the same cus the price is good and it has low miles. So any info is greatly appreciated. And thanks to Tegoxr for finding it for me!! I hope I hope I hope it's good. I'm goin crazy without my truck!!

I'm not 100 percent sure what it is. Just got the reply from the guy about it and am getting more details from him. Add says 4.0 from 2006 runner. Hopefully someone on here can shed some light as to whether it's the same or not.

If you plan on putting it in yourself, drop me a line and I can come and give you a hand. I can pack up my tools and be at your place in no time.

Let me know.

I know it's great news. Hopefully it works out and I can get it. As for the pan it is worrying me that it won't fit. But I guess if it doesn't I'll swap my original onto the new motor.

It will fit. The thing is, how low is it on the frame?

Is this motor coming out of a salvage/total 4Runner?

Like Grumpy mentioned about fitment, the one thing you need to look at is the oil pan. If it is different from your's, then you will need to swap them so that it fits.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy. I asked what the deal was with it.
