Here is a thread for everyone to post their comments and feedback on the new sittin sic sway bars.....

Here is mine:

1st impression...Sway bars are sick! The sway are just as big as the Hotchkis Kit for the Dakota, and i rocked that kit hard on my dakota...so I knew what to expect.

Pro's:
-80-90% of the body roll is gone. I went to every turn I knew that I used to have to slow down on and took them faster and harder than ever and she didnt give
I think this wil lbe fixed with some QA1's

-Powdercoat is nice and sways were WELL DONE and far as R&D goes.

-Bushings have zerk fittings for grease, unlike stock ones. I highly recommend ordering a tube of SILICONE grease from Summit racing (about $15-$20) and getting a grease gun. If you have never dealt with new greaseable bushings, they will squek something awful when the dont have grease.

Con's:
-The bushing kit lacked the R&D that the sway bars itself did.

-The sway bar end link bushings (the small ones) are way to big. No amount of convincing was going to get those to fit. (you will see when you try it, trust me) The stock black ones have to be reused.

-The Rear sway mounts have a "hook and hang" type mount on the stock sway mount. However, the new kit dont. You have to grind the hook off to get the new mounts to work. (You will see this when you get there)

-The mounts for the bushings are really tight, the screws are really close to the part of the metal mount where it begins to curve. They do fit, but its very very tight...so tight that the new lock washers provided with the kit cannot be used also. '

My opinion:
Sways 10 of 10
Bushing kit 5 of 10

should you get this? Hell yes you should :top:

End Link bushings can be put on with a pair of vice grips to squeeze them down, it is a bear but it can be done

I am by no means bashing this product after all "Don't knock it till you try it" but these bars dont seem much different from stock...

Maybe Mike (x-stealth) will let me borrow his before he sells em lol jk

Pictures dont due the justice. While the rear sway is not that much bigger, it is bigger.

When you have the front one out and sitting next to the stocker you will see the difference...night an day.

You can easily see by the picture you posted of the stock and new front sway bars together that the new ones are massive. The SS sways look like they are 34-36mm in front which is pretty impressive. Is the stock front sway bar hollow on our trucks? I know the new SS one is.

My sway bars will be in on Wed. I have an autox this coming Sunday. And I will post my reviews.

Nothing against Dak, or the other sway bars reviews you may have read. But testing on the street and going by what you feel is often misleading. An intake sounds louder, you think its faster. With a performance drop and sway bars, you have more confidence in your suspension, your going to drive the vehicle harder then before. So while you may be taking corners faster, its hard to say that its because of a mod, and not just the driver.

I will be putting on the rear sway bar ONLY for the autox event on sunday. The truck has a tendency of understeering as it is. The larger rear will help with the understeer. We'll see how the new balance runs.

The next event is mid-April. I will have the front sway bar on for that event. And will see how the truck runs with both front and rear.

My review is from a 20 mile drive though the area where I live. This isnt my first set of upgraded sways, so i know what to feel and look for.

My truck now almost performs as well as my dakota did (i believe to lack of drop shocks, thats the only thing not adjusted for lowering)

I however agree that an autocross event is the way to truly test them...and I await your feedback as well.

Im happy with them..I wasnt happy with the bushing kit, but now that they are on and I dont have to do it again ill live

I look forward to the auto X review as well as the street review this is something that I know people love to hear so please give it to me all of it the good and the bad the end user needs to know what they are getting. And I am that confident in the sways to let it all ride so people can see it.

That sort of outlook could only come from a man who uses pumpkin lotion and man cuddles

haha, you could also shave a little off of the flat part of the bushing but dont shave to much it needs to fit snugly (I really want to type snuggle bear instead of snuggly )
