Dynos are worthless when it comes to peak numbers there is way to much of a range on them; its pointless arguing over them or comparing them.

All that matters is the area under the curve.... Don't pay attention to peak numbers, pay attention to the powerband and how much OVERALL power you are gaining/making.

Use dynos as a tuning tool and a baseline/mod gain evaluator.

You want to know true RWHP?

Trap speed and vehicle weight = WHP.
Even 40-90 can be used to determine WHP.

The time it takes to accelerate a known mass from A to B is flawless, unbiased, and universal anywhere in the world.

Again nice numbers butters.

I'm pretty sure that the plx device measures this I have seen their app don't know if it works or not but

With all of my supporting mods I bet you I gained from going na to boosted stage 2 100 to 110hp gain I was probably at or just under 300 hp witha all the.mods maybe I'm wrong but.its fair to say that those gains are darn close

What mods did you have? I doubt you were quite that high being NA, but its always possible.
I would guess the URD added closer to 130-150 RWHP. :blurock:
That's just a guess from other dyno numbers and the fact that I dynoed the same day as a URD MKI stage I truck with DTLT and full URD exhaust and I had over 100HP on him.

Damn David u made over 100hp mode then a MKI? What stage were u and u said he was stage I MKI right?

Also I highly doubt u Butters that u had 300rwhp with all ur mods NA. I know Chrisjaxfla made close to 300rwtq but the rwhp was much lower. So it's possible that u had close to that 300rwtq but no way u had close to 300rwhp. Too bad u didn't get a NA dyno and a F/I dyno within a close time frame at the same dyno with close temps between the runs. That I would like to see.

I was stage III (70mm pulley) and yes he was stage I (85mm pulley) . You also have to remember I am running the -71 trim blower, not the -81 that butters is running. He's getting some serious power from that supercharger isn't any doubt about that. :blurock:

Afe stage 2 si,x-1 Doug thorrley long tubes URD y pipe afe 3in exhaust, ikh20 plugs, nst intake manifold spacer so yea I'm pretty sure I was between 290 and 300 you guys can add up the totals from these parts just the x-1 is 30 hp to the wheels and 20 ft lbs lbs torque isn't it?

That's the things with mods. Its not just simple adding them all up. That's where a before and after dyno can really tell you what gains each mod is giving you.
Like ChristDenied I was comparing your truck to Jaxchrisfla who did a dyno with similar mods. In his case the addition of the X-1 to his other mods only netted him 12hp, but 32ft lbs tq. He was at 255HP and 298 TQ with all his mods. I'm sure there are other NA dynos out there, but I don't recall any being significantly higher than his. I would guess you were in the same ballpark as well. 250-270 RWHP and around 300 RWTQ. But like I said its all a guessing game to which the answer will probably never be known. Unless you decide to go back to NA and do another dyno, but I really don't see that happening.

^^^^What's he wrong about? he said around 200 stock rwhp and that sounds right. Just because G ran 209rwhp doesn't mean u will, another member got 207rwhp. I think the highest NA with no mods I saw was around 211rwhp.

Rich u beat me to it, my post was intended for Butters

LOL did you read the thread you just quoted, or any other dyno thread for that matter.
The first reply
all dynos are different. the only thing that is going to be the same is the factory rating of 236/245. im sure there are dynos (mustang) that will read a tad over 200, and a overinflated dynojet that could pull as much as 230.

That's why comparing dyno numbers between different trucks on different dynos is absolutely useless. There are too many variable and too many factors to make an apples to apples comparison.

Ok its over 200 and i read it 207,209 sorry I must be crazy but that'd around closer to 210 idc doesn't matter still nobody added this up with ea part individually?

A stock Xr is 236 CRANK hp. Stock on a Dyno, they are around 200-210whp.

And you can go to another thread cause I really don't care for you at all

Adding up each mod individually is the ricer way to claim more HP. Its a fact that real life gains won't equal the gains of each individual part added up. Some may be more, some may be less. That's why before and after pulls on the same dyno can be so useful to see the "real" gains you get.
Either way its a discussion that will have no answer. So lets just end this pissin match before the thread gets too crazy. :starwars:
